Speaking To Others Really Matters

I’m sure you (my readers) have noticed the new Archives page on my blog. Well after much blood, sweat, and tears on my part, I finally got it the way I wanted it. Now you can see all my posts arranged according to the year and month in reverse chronological order.

Due to my limited knowledge in coding and all that technical stuff, I was really struggling to get the archives plug-in to work properly. So I thought I would contact the guys over at SRS Solutions as they created the theme I’m currently using on my blog: “Eos”. Sabastian, the guy who responded promptly to my email, said that my problem had nothing to do with the Eos theme.

I recently came across a presentation that Dan Buettner gave at one of the TED conferences. In this presentation he spoke about Blue Zones and highlighted some principles of longevity. After years of research and study of these people who live in these “Blue Zones”, Dan has identified some common denominators that hold true among these cultures which I have in turn highlighted below.You can watch the video of the presentation that Dan gave at the TED event.

I’ve changed to a more efficient system to replace the flawed commenting practices that blogs currently employ. There are number of services that look very good, such as SezWho & Disqus. After much deliberation, I have opted to go with IntenseDebate.

Basically, IntenseDebate comments enhances and encourages conversation on my blog. With IntenseDebate I can also can give my blog readers the opportunity to better engage in my blog’s content and each other. It will also allow me to centralize my comments and create a threaded environment that is far more intuitive than the current commenting system.
