With my 28th birthday on my mind, I spent some quiet time reflecting on my recent past.  And I’ve come to realize that my 20’s so far have taught me a lot about life.  So, I figured I’d share a few lessons I’ve learned along the way. Here is a list of 28 life lessons I have learned thus far at the age of 28.  I pass this list on to you with the simple hope that it makes you think.  Sometimes thinking about your life and sorting out what you have learned is just as important as tackling a new venture.

A week ago, I finally got my new iPhone 3Gs and essentially started my much awaited “iLife”(I’m now an official Apple fan and starting to acquire their products one by one). It was a long time in coming due to unexpected circumstances but what matters is that I have it now…and I’m loving it!

Julian Smith, a very bright, young filmmaker, did a video tribute to the device last year when it initially came out. He’s a really funny guy and I thoroughly enjoyed his video. Enjoy!

We all know that life contains it’s fair share of conflict. And there are times in life we need to fight. But if you fight all the time, you can wear yourself out. That’s why it’s important to pick your battles.

John C Maxwell, one of my favourite authors, highlights some points to gain a better perspective on when to fight back and when to “let it go,” practice these following disciplines:


1. Spend time with people who are different from you. This helps you appreciate and understand how others think and work. You will be less inclined to judge or battle them.
